  1. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.  II Timothy 3:16-17
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each has distinct roles relating to his creation, and the act of redeeming His creation via the plan of salvation. (Mt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14)
  3. We believe in the Personhood of the Holy Spirit, who is referred to as a "whom" that can be known, and is fully equated with God as seen in Acts 5:3-4. As the third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is indeed God.  (Jn. 14:15-17, 25-26, Rom. 5:5)
  4. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, through whose indwelling power the Christian is empowered to live a godly and obedient life. (Rom. 8:9)
  5. We believe in the deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His shed blood for the forgiveness of sins, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His visible return in power and glory. We recognize Jesus as both Savior and Lord. (Col 1:13-20, Phil 2:5-11, Rev. 1:17-18).
  6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and Man. I Timothy 2:5
  7. We believe that all men are lost and sinful and that salvation is received by the grace of God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and by the act of regeneration of life by the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 3:23-26, Titus 3:5, Eph 2:8-9)
  8. We believe in the saving, atoning, and redemptive work that Jesus accomplished through his life, death, and resurrection. As the propitiation for our sin, He assumes our sin debt so we may have eternal life and salvation in His name. God the Father applied Jesus’ righteousness to those who receive Him with repentant hearts. (1 Pet. 2:24, & 3:18, 2 Cor. 5:15-21, 1 Thes. 5:9-10, Rom. 3:25, & 5:8,10, & 8:1-4, Heb. 10:10, Jn. 1:29 & 3:16-17 & 10:14-18 Isa. 53, Eph. 1:7, & 5:2, Gal. 2:20-21, 1 Tim. 2:5-6)
  9. We believe that Jesus’ death was voluntary and intentional, that He did so out of obedience unto our Heavenly Father and because of God’s love for us personally while we were yet sinners (1 Tim. 2:5-6, Eph. 5:2, Jn. 10:14-18, Rom. 5:8).
  10. We believe that salvation is found in Christ alone, “for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). And this salvation is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  11. We believe that every believer in our Lord Jesus Christ shares the responsibility of fulfilling the Great Commission through active support, participation, and obedience to His command.  (Mt. 28:19-20)
  12. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit as established in the Bible. (Jn. 17:20- 23; I Cor. 12:12-13)
  13. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people—those who are saved to eternal life, and those who are lost to eternal separation from God. (Jn. 5:24-25, 28-29)
  14. We believe that the universe was created by the direct, sovereign act of God, as revealed in Scripture, and that the form of every living being was established at the time of its creation. (Gen. 1:1; Jn. 1:1-3)
  15. We believe that God created and ordained marriage in the beginning, as a blessing for both man and woman, before sin entered the world, and that He created marriage to be between one man and one woman, who enter into a covenant relationship, complement one another, serve one another, and sanctify one another for as long as they both shall live. Accordingly, we reject any redefinition of marriage. We believe that the homosexual lifestyle and alternative gender identities are contrary to the Bible. (Gen. 1:27-28; 2:15-24; Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13a; Mt. 19:4-6; Rom 1:26-27; 1 Cor 7:14)
  16. We believe that human life is sacred, created by God in His image, and holds immeasurable worth at every stage and condition, from conception to natural death. This includes the unborn, the elderly, the physically and mentally challenged, and all others. We are called to defend, protect, and honor the sanctity of every human life. (Psalm 139)
  17. We believe in the Gospel as outlined by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15, which is the "good news" proclaimed throughout the New Testament. Paul reminds us, "Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received, I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…" (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
  18. Our Statement of Faith represents a summary of our core beliefs, but it does not encompass the full depth of all that we believe. The Bible, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, is the ultimate and authoritative source of truth, morality, and guidance for the conduct of mankind. It is the sole and final foundation of all our beliefs. For purposes of Jehovah-Jireh Christian Academy’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Directors is Jehovah-Jireh Christian Academy’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
